“Perfectly Lost” was the name of the group show I exhibited in at Walker Fine Art in Denver in the Fall of 2025. For this show, I purposely tried to not overthink the images, or to get too wrapped up in creating rationale. It was my way of getting lost in the creative process. My best paintings are usually the ones that are hardest for me to surround with words anyway, so the approach seemed fitting. As always, I’m interested in exploring psychological states among my subjects, but allowing free associations among the image references led down a more surrealistic, dreamlike path where there were interesting complexities for me to explore.
